TRUCKING SANTAS IS NOT A 501(C)(3) WE ARE A COMMUNITY PROJECT OF TRUCKERS, TRUCKING COMPANIES, PILOT CARS, AND TRUCKING SUPPORTERS PAYING IT FORWARD AND GIVING BACK TO THE LESS FORTUNATE. THE ONLY REWARD WE GET IS THE FEELING IN OUR HEARTS AND THE AWESOME PICTURES AT THE END OF THE YEAR!
Trucking Santas has a very basic and simple mission. To help others. For two years now, I've searched high and low, not just for less fortunate families, but for the least fortunate families around. The first year was not as organized. It started with a text message, asking me for a personal favor.........to adopt someone's son so that he could have a Christmas. I reflected upon my own childhood. I grew up with a single father trying to raise two girls on a Wal-Mart (he actually worked there) budget. A lot of the time, Christmas would've been impossible if not for the community around us chipping in. I couldn't help but think of doing this right, helping out as many as possible, and making families happy.
The truckers and their supporters not only give these families a wonderful holiday, but help improve the image of truckers as a whole. These families see that we care, and that we are generous beings, unlike what the media depicts us as.
The basics we give families is as follows:
Each year, there has been a large request for dishes, pots and pans, and towels. These items aren't just essential, they also help the family members feel a little more "human."

The basics we give families is as follows:
- each family member receives 4 outfits (to many of them, this'll be the first actual new outfit in years)
- each family member receives a new pair of shoes (these, also, could possibly be the first new shoes in years)
- each family member receives new bedding (we've had people who've had the same bedding for 13 years)
- each kid gets at least 5 toys/gifts
- as needed, families also receive small cookers, pots & pans, dishes and/or towels
